Franchise Business Consultant - Chip Cookies

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 DOE plus Incentives

Job Summary

Chip Cookies, the original gourmet cookie delivery company, is rapidly expanding and seeks a highly motivated and results-driven Franchise Business Consultant to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting our Franchise Partners nationwide. The Franchise Business Consultant is responsible for driving revenue growth and offering consultative guidance to Franchisees, particularly in areas such as sales growth, staff recruitment/retention, and portfolio profitability.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Operational Support: Partner with franchisees to resolve operational challenges by providing coaching and best practice guidance. Develop short and long-term action plans to drive strong sales performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Business Reviews: Conduct regular operational business reviews and at least one in-person site visit per franchisee annually. Identify opportunities to improve performance, control costs, and ensure consistent execution of operational standards.
• New Franchisee Coaching: Coach newly opened franchisees and their office staff on best practices to accelerate growth and establish expectations for Chip Cookies' brand standards compliance.
• Technology and Marketing Integration: Promote buy-in, adoption, and execution of Chip Cookies’ new technologies, marketing tools, and other service programs.
• First Point of Contact: Serve as the first point of contact for any company/field issues and coordinate cross-functional support to address unique needs of franchisees’ businesses (operations, marketing, development, training, etc.).
• Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with franchisees to facilitate an open exchange of ideas and information that will aid in developing future programs adding value to franchise support.
• Training Facilitation: Act as an operational SME and help facilitate webinars, roundtable discussions, and other relevant training sessions.
• Meetings and Training: Attend scheduled virtual and in-person meetings, training sessions, and the Annual Franchise Convention.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proven experience in driving measurable performance results as a Franchise Business Consultant.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to read and interpret P&Ls, Income Statements, and other financial reporting tools.
• Proven ability to consult with and influence experienced business owners and leaders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide training to small groups.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• High emotional intelligence.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Comfortable learning and using applicable technology.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience in the food industry or franchising preferred.
• 5-7 years of relevant work experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
