Job SummaryThe Technical Scientist I is responsible for the development and implementation of new diagnostic assays. Performs assay and equipment validation, authors’ standard operating procedure and develops training and competency documents and ensures quality and regulatory compliance. Performs research, working independently, and is responsible for conducting experiments and contributing to technical and scientific expertise in support of established or developing scientific protocols.
Pay RangeMinimum $84,567 Midpoint $112,042 Maximum $139,538
Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.Experience
  • Required: Minimum three (3) years of pertinent experience in a research or clinical laboratory.
Education
  • Required: MS, PharmD or PhD in biological sciences or related field.
Training
  • Required: None required.

  • Required: Proficient with applicable computer systems. Ability to think critically and to establish priorities for the accomplishment of work assigned. Ability to work independently and to collaborate with team members as necessary. Flexibility, maintains knowledge and time management skills. Self directed and demonstrates time management skills and able to demonstrate organization, efficiency, accuracy and productivity with all tasks. Exhibits flexibility and initiative to support change efforts to respond to environmental or organizational change. Maintains knowledge and skills expectations and participates in continuing education activities (i.e. licensed staff) and minimal required continuing education.

  • Required: None required.
  • Preferred: Cert PACS System Manager.
