Who are we looking for?Choice Hotels, one of the world’s largest lodging franchisors, has an exciting new opportunity as our Executive Administrative Assistant supporting Sales Leaders within the Franchise Development department. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to four leaders: SVP, Franchise Development, SVP, Upscale Development, SVP, Signature Development, and Head of Development.

Your Responsibilities
  • Secure business travel arrangements and proactively seek out situations that will not interfere with pre-determined travel plans and suggest workaround solutions.
  • Anticipate additional travel needs: Hotels, Flights, rental Cars, restaurants, etc.
  • Proactively manage and maintain calendars, scheduling meetings and working with VPs to de-conflict overlapping or conflicting calendar appointments.
  • Manage expense submissions for the five leaders whom this position supports.
  • Maintain excellent organizational skills and ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Schedule and coordinate basic to complex meetings and events both on-site and off, including booking rooms, ensuring A/V setup, managing food & beverage delivery, coordinating agendas and speakers, and providing event planning support. Uses traditional and non-traditional scheduling practices to accomplish meeting goals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Manage the end-to-end process for confidential personnel processes that take place throughout the year.
  • Prepare memos, presentations, and reports utilizing available software and technology. i.e. Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Maintains discretion, confidentiality, professionalism, and a strong customer focus in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Uphold executive assistant best practices and examples to the enterprise and lead with integrity.
Your Experience, Skills & Competencies
  • High School diploma required, Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience
  • 5 years experience in performing Executive Administrative Assistant responsibilities, prior experience supporting sales executives strongly preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Must be able to multi-task and work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, detail-oriented, well-organized, and proactive.
  • Detail-oriented mindset, with strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrates key competencies to include: Situational Adaptability, Customer Focus, and Collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently and self-starter.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and tasks.
  • Capable of working successfully under pressure.
  • Must have demonstrated problem-solving skills and be a confident decision-maker.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills required to coordinate requirements for events.
  • Customer focus – Possess strong relationship skills with fellow departments and customers.
  • Proficient in the following: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office

Your Work LocationAs our Executive Administrative Assistant, you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art worldwide corporate headquarters in North Bethesda, MD. Less than 15 miles from Washington, DC, we’re located one block away from the North Bethesda Metro station, with service on the Red Line and the MARC Brunswick line, easy access to I-270, and plenty of free parking provided by Choice Hotels.
Right now, our associates in corporate headquarters are working in a hybrid environment, up to 4 days per week in the office and virtually from your home office the remaining days. We provide flexibility and encourage ongoing communication with your leadership to establish expectations about your unique needs.
