Middle School ELA Teacher

Hours

School day is from 8:00 - 3:00. Contract day for teachers is 7:30 - 3:45, Monday - Friday with one weekend night a month for family events from 6:30 - 7:30 pm or parent teacher conferences from 4:00 - 7:00 (subject to change). School year for teacher begins the second week of August until first week of June.

Contract covers pay for August to June.

Pay is based on experience. Pay may be higher depending on experience and specific trainings. Knowledge and/or experience in teaching SEI standards, HMH Into Literature curriculum, and typing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Weekly lesson plans (keep lesson plans turned in at least a week in advance)
• Integration of school curriculum with standards alignment
• Maintain grades in Powerteacher
• Communication with parents on Class Dojo or email as needed
• Open communication with administration
• Weekly PLC meetings during prep period with cohort group
• Lunchroom duty 2 times a week

Pay: $46,997.00 - $49,307.00 per year
