Chord Energy is Hiring a Contract Analyst Near Houston, TX
The Contract Analyst will support the Marketing Department in all contract-related functions. Internal communication is required with various departments including Legal, Treasury, IT, Financial Reporting and Accounting along with external communication with companies with whom Marketing transacts its business. This position reports directly to the Manager Marketing, Data and Contracts and is located in downtown Houston, TX. Hybrid work schedule is an option for remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Level and salary commensurate with experience.
Essential Job Functions
- Manage M-Files contract system
- Store all Marketing agreements in system, including analysis and data entry of key contract details
- Manage all mass data loads related to mergers and acquisitions
- Work with IT to design and enhance system organization
- Generate and distribute daily transaction confirmations to counterparties
- Review 3rd party transaction confirmations and manage disputes, as needed
- Track status of all in-progress Marketing agreements
- Act as liaison between Marketing, Legal and counterparties
- Lead recurring, cross-functional meetings to discuss status and prioritize
- Routine tracking of various contract commitments
- Prepare Marketing related regulatory forms for submission to NDIC
- Represent Marketing department on Chord Data Governance team and maintain all Marketing related fields in master data system
- Work closely with Marketing and Midstream groups to understand the commercial business
- Provide innovative perspective to establish efficient processes
- Work cross-functionally to move necessary department projects forward
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience in a related field
- Three (3) years of experience in oil and gas Marketing contract management or related field
- Strong attention to detail
- Organized and self-motivated
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with the demands of a growing company
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry files weighing up to 10 pounds, vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
