GENERAL JUNIOR ACADEMY LEAD TEACHER

ENGLISH STATION CAMPUS

MONDAY - FRIDAY

Scope

* Provide spiritual leadership to the students entrusted to his/her care

* Teach the curriculum provided by the school

* Use instructional materials and methods which are consistent with the school's educational and Biblical philosophy

* Create a classroom environment conducive to learning

* Seek to communicate clearly, accurately and often

* Handle conflict and manage with objectively when conflicts arise

* Use Matthew 18 principle when needing to share concerns

* Communicate with parents regularly

* Attend and participate in scheduled meetings as required

* Take advantage of opportunities to grow professionally

* Keep anecdotal records of unusual events in the life of a child

* Maintain good working relationships with other faculty

* Maintain working hours assigned by the Junior Academy Director

* Follow all school policies

* Accept teaching position assigned by the Junior Academy Director and any extra duties

The candidate shall possess characteristics that reflect:

* A strong clear Christian testimony with a mature, godly spirit

* A daily example of the highest Christian virtue both in and out of school

* Commitment to faithful attendance and support of a church whose beliefs are in agreement with the Statement of Faith

Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred but not required

* Experience leading a classroom and lesson planning experience preferred

The candidate shall prior to start date provide/successfully complete the following:

1. TB Test

2. CPR & First Aid Training

3. Criminal Records Check

4. Child Abuse and Neglect Check (CAN)
