Christina School District is Hiring a Paraprofessional Near Newark, DE
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Holds high school transcript or equivalency
- Experience working with students; preferred
- Has strong communication skills; writing and speaking in English
- Has experience working with children in varied settings ;
- Has working knowledge of behavior management procedures;
- Minimum lifting requirements 50 pounds (with assistance)
- Must be able to use arms and hands without restrictions to accommodate the physical, mobility, and ambulatory needs of students
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Follows district and building procedures
- Adheres to the schedule and breaks developed by the designated administrator
- Ensures the safety of the students within their work environment
- Communicates essential information to relevant staff
- Uses initiative and common sense to solve problems
- Assists in emergency situations (fire drills, civil defense drills and first aid)
- Lends support in maintaining discipline of students
- Ensures student confidentiality
- Consistently maintains a professional attitude in all settings
