About Us: At Christmas Company, we bring the magic of the holidays to life through professional and creative holiday lighting installations. Our mission is to inspire joy and wonder in every project, and we are looking for a dedicated Project Manager to join our team and help us achieve our goals.

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Manager to oversee our holiday lighting installations. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient operational processes, manage day-to-day activities, oversee resource management, and maintain high-quality standards. This role requires excellent time management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to optimize processes in a seasonal business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Optimization:

  • Ensure that operational processes are efficient and effective, particularly given the seasonal nature of the business.
  • Coordinate daily activities and tasks to ensure smooth operations.

Managing Day-to-Day Operations:

  • Address any operational issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure that all team members understand their daily responsibilities and tasks.

Resource Management:

  • Oversee the management of resources, including staffing, equipment, and materials, to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and enforce schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.

Time Management:

  • Monitor team members' time management to maximize productivity.
  • Adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in project timelines or priorities.

Quality Control:

  • Maintain high standards of service and product quality to meet client expectations and uphold the company's reputation.
  • Plan and organize projects from start to finish, including setting timelines, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress.

Planning and Execution of Projects:

  • Ensure that all projects are executed according to plan and meet the company's quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and support for project goals.

Managing Inventory:

  • Oversee the inventory of Christmas lights, decorations, and related equipment.
  • Ensure inventory levels are sufficient to meet project demands without overstocking.
  • Implement inventory tracking systems to monitor usage and reorder supplies as needed.

Training New Team Members:

  • Develop and implement training programs to teach new team members how to install Christmas lights efficiently and safely.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to ensure all team members are up-to-date with best practices and company standards.

Recruitment and Hiring:

  • Actively recruit and identify potential new hires to join the team.
  • Conduct interviews and make hiring decisions in collaboration with the management team.
  • Develop strategies to attract skilled and reliable workers, especially for the peak season.

Technical Skills:

  • Understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols related to holiday lighting installations.
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello, MS Project).

Customer Service Orientation:

  • Ability to manage client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Experience in handling client feedback and resolving issues promptly.

Financial Acumen:

  • Budgeting and cost management skills to ensure projects are completed within financial constraints.
  • Ability to forecast and manage expenses related to inventory, staffing, and project execution.

Health and Safety Management:

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations to ensure team members work safely.
  • Experience in conducting safety training and audits.

Creativity and Design Sensibility:

  • Ability to contribute to the creative design of lighting displays.
  • Understanding of aesthetic principles and design trends in holiday lighting.

Negotiation and Vendor Management:

  • Experience in negotiating with suppliers and managing vendor relationships.
  • Ability to source and secure quality materials at competitive prices.

Strategic Planning:

  • Ability to develop long-term strategies for business growth and process improvements.
  • Experience in setting and achieving strategic goals.

Crisis Management:

  • Skills in handling unexpected issues or crises that may arise during peak season.
  • Ability to develop contingency plans to ensure project continuity.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Project Manager or similar role, preferably in a seasonal business.

Strong organizational and leadership skills.

Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.

Ability to manage resources and inventory efficiently.

Experience in training and developing team members.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Must be proficient in both spoken and written English and Spanish.
