About The RoleIn this role, you will collaborate with the store manager to manage the store's operations. You will play a key role in creating a thriving and welcoming outdoor space for our customers.
Essential FunctionsLeadership and Customer Experience
The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. (Request help with heavy or awkward boxes/products). Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception, and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs and ladders, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk.

About The RoleIn this role, you will collaborate with the store manager to manage the store's operations. You will play a key role in creating a thriving and welcoming outdoor space for our customers.
Essential FunctionsLeadership and Customer Experience
- Lead and motivate a team of patio staff, ensuring they deliver exceptional customer service and operate efficiently.
- Coordinate daily customer service operations on the floor, including sales processes, orders, and warranties, to create a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.
- Assist the Store Manager in planning and implementing strategies to attract customers to the store.
- Help manage customer issues when the store manager is away and provide assurance their concerns will be addressed promptly.
- Communicate with customers and evaluate their needs to recommend the perfect patio furniture for their outdoor space.
- Maintain a vibrant store environment by keeping the floor clean, ensuring proper product presentation, and maintaining a cohesive floor plan according to company merchandising guidelines.
- Assist with managing patio inventory and meeting or exceeding inventory goals.
- Research emerging patio furniture trends and use information to update the store's patio product selection.
- Assist the Store Manager in hiring and training new team members.
- Supervise and coach patio staff, ensuring they follow company policies and procedures and adhere to high standards of customer service.
- Participate in developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems specific to the patio department to optimize productivity.
- Monitor and maintain patio inventory and assist with cycle counts.
- Suggest sales training programs and techniques specific to selling patio furniture.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Retail Assistant Manager or similar position.
- Experience with recruiting store staff
- Familiar with point-of-sale systems
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to help coach and develop teams
- Familiar with streamlining processes and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
- Experience in the outdoor industry is a plus, especially with patio furniture or related products.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible Schedule
- A problem-solving attitude and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
