We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as a Fast-Lane Claims Team Leader. In this role, you will be responsible for providing ongoing training, coaching, and performance management for a team primarily handling low complexity coverage and liability automobile accident investigations. What does a CLAIMS TEAM LEADER - FAST LANE do?
Leadership Responsibilities:
  • Coach, train, and support team members to enhance their product management skills.
  • Exemplify leadership within your area of responsibility and the Company.
  • Support company initiatives and special projects.
  • On-board and lead a team of 4-6 Fast-Lane Claim Representatives.
  • Identify and execute recruitment activities to ensure a strong talent pool.
  • Influence others at all levels and drive consensus on key decisions.
Maintains Quality Service:
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to adjusters and management.
  • Ensure project/department milestones/goals are met within approved budgets.
  • Complete QA reviews, file reviews, and review authority requests.
  • Manage negotiations of settlements and claims in litigation.
  • Identify and develop process improvement opportunities.
  • Resolve customer complaints, problems, and coverage questions.
Special Projects:
  • Assist and/or direct special projects and requests.
  • Communicate proactively with key personnel in other departments.
  • Supervise, evaluate performance, and recommend salary changes for personnel.
What is required?
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
License/Certification:
  • Obtain and maintain a valid Texas Adjuster License and any other state you are assigned.
  • Obtain and maintain CE credits.
Experience:
  • Previous experience in a Claims environment is required.
  • Insurance background required; non-standard auto insurance experience is a plus.
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
Other skills and abilities:
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and direct employees.
  • Set priorities and standards of performance based on Best Claims Practices; determine when to assess liability.
  • Possesses superior verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to impart knowledge of customer service best practices to new adjusters.
  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively prioritize and delegate tasks, while simultaneously fostering a positive and productive team environment.
  • Ability to diffuse tense situations with customers and train others on how to de-escalate and resolve customer complaints.
  • Demonstrates the ability to quickly learn and effectively utilize computer systems and other technologies to complete tasks and achieve objectives.
  • Ability to gather and analyze information or data in order to evaluate results in order to recommend solutions to current problems.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
