Job OverviewThe incumbent will p erform duties as the installation civilian training manager and manages all associated programs.
Responsibilities Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Create the Annual Installation Training Plan (AITP) utilizing tools such as the CATNIP and ensure AITP is sufficiently comprehensive to enable the government the ability to effectively obligate the funds within the civilian training budget.
- Schedule and conduct the Management Training Committee (MTC) when required and prepare meeting minutes for distribution. Forward the AITP to approval authority. SP shall provide the AITP and Budget Execution of former year report to the Approving Official.
- Track all civilian training dollars to ensure proper execution of PEC.
- Manage Initial Supervisory Training Programs and New Employee Orientation (NEO) requirements.
- Ensures all submitted SF-182s for both CATNIP submittal as well as local needs meet required DAFI guidelines as well as institutional requirements are met prior to forwarding to the government for final signature.
- Ensures that requested training is most cost-effective training available and recommend other venues, if financial savings can be achieved, as long as desired training is met.
- Compiles report that tracks all submitted SF-182s to monitor installation expenditures each FY for civilian as well as military training that is authorized via SF-182.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be qualified under the Office of Personnel Management standards for the Education Services Series, 1740 career field, Education Services Series, 1740 and Individual Occupational Requirements Degree.
- Bachelor’s Degree accredited by the US Department of Education that includes or was supplemented by at least twenty-four semester hours in one or a combination of areas: counseling; tests and measurement; adult education; educational program administration; curriculum development or design; teaching methods, guidance and counseling; career planning; occupational information.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to acquire and maintain government identification/common access card.
- Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
- Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).
