Job Overview

The incumbent will manage the entire spectrum of the non-inherently governmental cultural resources program. Cultural resources include archaeological sites, historic buildings, Native American Consultation Program, and properties of interest to Native Americans.

Work Model: Onsite/Office-Based

Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
  • Compile and maintain plans, surveys, data, and geo-spatial records.
  • Prepare correspondence with appropriate state and federal agencies for designated government representative signature and submit to COR for coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable and current DoD, AF, federal, state, and local requirements, and environmental laws.
  • Track buildings as they become eligible under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and provide necessary data to the base Real Property Office for updating historic building codes in ACES-RP, or any government designated replacement system.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all Section 106 consultations with the State Historic Preservation Office and the associated Tribal Historic Preservation Office.
  • Provide staff who have completed section 106 training.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable and most current DoD, AF, federal, state, and local requirements, and environmental laws.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements

Mandatory:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or other closely related field.
  • Completion of Advisory Council on Historic Preservation Section 106 training.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain government identification/common access card.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
  • Valid state Driver's License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.
  • Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).
