POSITION SUMMARY:

Candidate will have industry experience in design and detailing of exterior and interior signage and branding projects. The emphasis of this position will be creating brand books and drawings for client approval, interpreting brand guidelines, and utilizing program branding details in multi-page layout packages. An experienced knowledge of various design softwares, signage design, fabrication materials, specification and methods are required. Candidates must be able to work independently, with direction from design leads and program managers, while taking action as required by the duties and responsibilities given to them. Position is open to fully in-office, hybrid schedule and remote employees. 

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Proficient to Expert level knowledge in the use of CorelDraw Graphics Suite and/or Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Knowledge and understanding of sign design and purposes.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Understand the importance of brand recognition and compliance.
• Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Dependable, self-motivated and organized.
• Ability to provide customer solutions and meet deadlines.

• Positivity and passion for design
• Knowledge of 3D and CAD software a plus.

REQUIRED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create branding drawings based on family of signs and/or customer needs.
• Design high profile sign projects.
• Develop signage requirements based on message schedules.
• Make revisions to existing drawings as specified by client, sales or project manager.
• Work with project management teams and leads to ensure all required information and documentation is clearly translated to drawings as provided.
• Resolve design issues, forecast and solve problems.
• Other duties as assigned on as needed basis. 

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Sign layout or design experience of 1-5 years, preferred.
• Undergraduate degree a plus but not required.
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Ability to handle pressure situations
• Must be proficient with up-t0-date technologies related to field.
• Experience with 3D rendering software a plus.
• Work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to multitask and stay organized
• Must be able to work in team environment
• Must excel at customer service
• Must be able to take direction

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing essential functions of the job. Typical office conditions: protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Travel is minimal with most contact with customers by phone and correspondence.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand for long periods of time; use hands to finger, handle controls (keyboard, phone); and talk or hear. Occasional standing, walking, stooping is required. Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.

Must be comfortable with entering shop for product review in the fabrication area. This area can be loud. This area may have fumes or airborne particles present. You could be exposed to working machinery as well as some exposure to variable temperatures.
