Assistive Technology Instructor
Job Summary:
An Assistive Technology Instructor provides comprehensive training for people with visual impairments to use hardware or software as they pursue independence through the use of computers and other modern technology.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide evaluation, instruction, and consultation to people with visual impairments in skill areas focusing on effective use of access technology with computer applications to achieve vocational, educational, or personal goals.
Maintain current and accurate knowledge of mainstream and adaptive technology trends; provide consultation to the community and referral partners as needed.
Maintain accurate documentation on programs and consumer service.
Handle special projects and assignments to help meet program or agency needs.
