Department/Unit: Psychiatric Intake Response Center (PIRC) Hours/FTE: 40/1.0 Expected Starting Salary Range: $120,224 - $156,748 Total Number of FTE’s Directory/Indirectly Supervised: 70-100 Titles Supervised: All personnel assigned to specified employee clock numbers, or shift, including supervisors, clinical professionals, technical professionals and administrative support. The Psychiatric Intake Response Center (PIRC), located within Cincinnati Children’s, is the admission and evaluation center for all psychiatric services.PIRC is dedicated to providing high-quality evaluations and access to mental health services across the entire continuum of care. The service provides the community with reliable, clinical triage and assessment in the Emergency Department by licensed independent behavioral health clinicians with more than 150 years of combined experience. Services Provided By The PIRC Include
Psychiatric evaluation to determine the appropriate treatment for patients in acute crisis at both Cincinnati Children's Burnet Campus and Liberty Campus Emergency Department
Referral to the PIRC Bridge Crisis Clinic
Expert triage, evaluation and recommendation to help you determine the next steps in treatment for your child
Inquiries about inpatient care, outpatient care and community services
Working as the Clinical Director for PIRC a at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, you will:
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. Identify best practices and deficiencies, recommend improvements, and develop corrective action plans. Lead and support implementation of operational dashboards. Keep compliance and readiness plans current. Collaborate with CPE and Accreditation Services to improve staff competency, compliance, and documentation. Track relevant laws, regulations, and standards. Ensure timely implementation of necessary changes with direct reports.
Consistently integrate the Interprofessional Practice Model (IPM) into practice.
Ensure adequate staffing by adhering to recruitment, retention, diversity plans, and productivity measures. Meet goals for vacancy and turnover rates. Complete evaluations on time. Engage staff in governance activities. Manage staff selection, development, evaluation, and discipline. Clarify job requirements and provide training for competency. Maintain staff competency and support professional development. Oversee staffing and scheduling processes. Lead development of departmental education goals.
Ensure financial accountability for budgets and expenditures. Meet goals for contribution margin, budget variance, and overtime rate. Optimize staffing and resource utilization. Develop revenue opportunities. Approve purchases and contracts. Monitor inventory and service contracts. Manage fiscal operating and capital budgets. Conduct financial analysis and monitor programs and services.
Continuously improve care and services. Ensure regulatory compliance and support performance improvement activities. Meet annual safety goals. Ensure high customer service standards. Job RequirementsRequired:
Master degree in Social Work OR Clinical Counseling
Five years of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience
Current LISW-S / LPCC-S or licensure eligible
Preferred
Prior operational and supervisory experience within a complex pediatric medical center
Care management experience

Possess knowledge of related outside regulating agencies, roles and responsibilities and knowledge of procedures and regulations specific to the assessment, care, patient rights and control of information for infants, children and adolescents.
