ROLE SUMMARY:Cincinnati Public Schools is seeking a Media Manager to join its fast-paced Office of Marketing and
Communications. The Media Manager will be a leader in developing and coordinating communications to
strengthen CPS' presence within the media on local, state and national levels. The Media Manager will
coordinate media inquiries and interviews, develop and collaborate on statement responses, produce media
advisories and press releases, and produce written content on an as needed basis to support District
initiatives. The Media Manager will be responsible for reporting on related objectives, results and key
performing indicators as it pertains to CPS' media objectives aligned with the district's strategic plan and
Superintendent/School Board priorities. In addition, the Media Manager may support event planning,
promotion, logistics and execution for District-sponsored events.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: - Generate and approve copy for media statements, advisories, press releases, op-ed, and talking point documents for speaking engagements and press conferences.
- Plan, produce and publish content for CPS distribution - web, email, newsletters, marketing collateral.
- Strong writing and comprehension a must, with the ability to write towards a brand's voice.
- Maintaining a consistent voice throughout all of CPS content.
- Use metrics to drive content decisions and share these insights with stakeholders in a timely manner.
- At least 10 years of progressive responsibility in a news media or marketing and communications position.
- Experience developing and executing press and media events.
- Sense of humor, ability to see the big picture, a passion for sharing knowledge and being creative, but also understands the nature of handling and protecting sensitive information.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to triage priorities.
- Possesses impeccable attention to detail.

QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or related field from an accredited college and 10 years of
experience in the field.
CONTRACT PROVISIONS: TYPE OF CONTRACT: 260 - day limited
SALARY RANGE: Manager I- Per CAAS Agreement
