Federal Work Study - Business Division Front Desk Student Assistant
Overview: The Business Division, which also houses the Midwest Culinary Institute, is seeking a work-study student to serve as a Front Desk Student Assistant. Work-study staff will assist the Clerical Assistant with greeting customers, answering and making phone calls, and assisting students with navigating the various college online tools.
Duties:

• Call students to schedule an advising appointment.
• Assist in greeting guests.
• Assist students with navigating the various college online tools including My Services Blackboard, Surge Mail, and Starfish.
• Answer incoming calls.
• Walk students to other areas of the college as needed, such as Financial Aid or Registrar's office.
• Perform other clerical duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to problem solve with attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and a team player.
• Computer savvy.

Minimum Qualifications
Must be a high school graduate or have attained a GED. Must be at least 16 years old.
For Federal Work Study funds must:
1. Student must have completed a FAFSA for the current school year.
2. Student must meet and continue to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress
3. The student must be a United States citizen or eligible non-citizen.
4. The student must demonstrate financial need.
Hourly Pay: $14.00 per hour

Location: Clifton Campus

Hours: Up to 20 hours weekly - Monday - Friday between the hours of 9 am and 4:30 pm.

Reports to: Business Division
Students may not work during their scheduled class times.
