Semester: Summer 2023
Position Summary & Purpose: Develop engineering discipline for product lines by studying customer requirements, and researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials. Duties & Responsibilities:
Direct and perform the design and development engineering on various size (small to major) research and development projects or sales orders
Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications
Conduct research that tests and analyzes the feasibility, design, operation and performance of equipment, components and systems
Develop and test models of alternative designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications and necessity of modification
Review new and existing writings of manuals and documentation, adding supplemental materials as required
Qualifications:
Working toward an Associates or Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or Electro Mechanical Engineering
Fully capable of performing all levels of tasks needed to complete a project or sales order, including all aspects of 2D CAD
Strong customer orientation
Adopt and promote lean practices in all activities, considering the elimination of wasteful resources for any goal other than the creation of value for the end customer
Planning ability to think ahead and plan over a two year time span
