Job Title: Process Control Engineer 3
Position's Contribution to Work Group:
The main function of the supplier development engineer is to collaborate with suppliers and engineering teams to assess process technologies based on project requirements, and propose and development manufacturing blueprint including process flow, equipment/fixture designs, implementation schedules, and validation plans for engineering builds and mass production. This function is responsible for the quality performance, including new development and product quality/cost improvements. This position also collaborates with commercial and engineering teams to assess and recommend sources for new product introductions. This position supports global facilities; the supply base being managed in largely North American-based (US and Mexico).
Typical Day:
• Driving supplier quality performance, including new product development and product quality improvement • Providing leadership for the supplier quality department • Oversee supplier quality team and establishing quality control objectives • Ensuring the supplier meets all regulatory and company requirements • Performing quality system audits • Maintaining supplier quality records • Maintaining relationships with suppliers • Promote initiatives to improve quality
Education Requirement:
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering required (electrical preferred)
Critical Technical Skills:
• Minimum of 4 years of PPAP, APQP or shop floor experience • Strong technical skills • Strong computer skills • Knowledge of 6 Sigma a plus • Ability to speak Spanish a plus

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong interpersonal skills • Excellent analytical skills • Highly developed attention to detail • Strong problem-solving skills • Strong organizational skills • Ability to work well in a team environment
