Title: Operational Excellence Team Lead

Salary: $95k - $110k bonus

The Operational Excellence Team Lead will spearhead initiatives to enhance cost productivity, improve equipment efficiencies, and drive process robustness within the pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams to execute improvement projects, ensuring adherence to HSE and cGMP practices, and leveraging Manufacturing 4.0 technologies for data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma certifications, and a proven track record in process optimization and project management.
Cost Productivity:
- Drive throughput improvement projects.
- Identify and address capacity challenges.
- Ensure execution of improvement projects in coordination with various teams.
- Follow HSE and cGMP practices during projects.
- Track financial impacts of completed projects.
Improvement & Tracking of Equipment Efficiencies:
- Track Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and drive improvement projects.
- Prioritize top SKUs based on volume and value.
- Align financial impacts with site and central finance.
Process Robustness & Capability Building:
- Improve process capability using DMAIC.
- Provide Lean Six Sigma (LSS) training.
- Deploy LSS projects and develop internal dashboards.
Manufacturing 4.0:
- Collect data and govern sprint use cases.
- Implement analytics use-cases for process improvement.
- Reduce cycle time variability and improve production.
- Support digital and analytics-led manpower allocation.
- Implement Production Planning & Detailed Scheduling (PPDS).
Qualifications:
- BS in Chemical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering; MS preferred.
- 7-10 years of experience in Manufacturing Excellence.
- Certifications in Six Sigma and Lean (Green Belt or Black Belt).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of process engineering and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive innovation.
