Circare is Hiring a Revenue Cycle Manager Near Syracuse, NY

Salary- $80,000-$85,000/ year

Circare is a not-for-profit community based mental health agency located in Syracuse, New York. Circare programs are designed to help individuals and families, who have encountered certain obstacles, develop the resources and supports to live a satisfying, naturally independent life.

Extensive knowledge of the healthcare revenue-cycle environment and a strong understanding of medical billing principles, especially related to mental health, Medicaid, and MCO’s, is required for this position. Working knowledge of billing systems, EHRs, and MS Office programs is essential, including experience credentialling clinical staff with payors and within the billing systems.

The full time Revenue Cycle Manager position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of clean medical claims, collection of all payments due, as well as their compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Also, preparing and maintaining important Accounts Receivable related records and reports. Candidates should have a proven ability to develop, analyze, implement, and monitor productivity levels and quality-improvement strategies, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with administrators, providers, and peers. As a member of the Accounting Department at Circare, the Revenue Cycle Manager works closely and collaboratively with executive leadership, department heads, care providers, and support staff to achieve agency goals. In addition, the Revenue Cycle Manager will need to demonstrate the ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced office environment with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

· Oversee and manage the billing operations.

· Perform Insurance verifications for correct plan coverage.

· Analyzing billing and claims for accuracy and completeness, submitting claims to proper insurance entities.

· Submit clean claims for services.

· Post payments in Accounts Receivable timely.

· Monitor remittances for denials and follow up on any claim corrections timely.

· Process appeals on disputed denials.

· Review Accounts Receivable for any resulting credit balances.

· Process refunds, recoupments, and other adjustments of Accounts Receivable claim activity.

· Routinely communicate with Insurance Plan representatives and with HHUNY/CHUNNY.

· Audit billing operations to ensure compliance with federal, state and payer regulations, guidelines and requirements.

· Monitor the development and implementation of operating policies and procedures.

· Other tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements:

· A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration is usually required for this position, but not necessary with equivalent experience. Hands on experience with Medicaid & Medicare billing/credentialing/collections leadership of ten years or more is appropriate qualifying experience for this position.

Knowledge, Skills, Preferred Qualifications:

· 10 Years of successful Medical Billing

· EHR systems, electronic billing and cash posting.

· Insurance Plan coverage

· Proper use of Modifier and Value codes

· Communicate with providers and payors.

· Accounts Receivable goal setting and monitoring.

· NYS Medicaid billing requirements and regulations

· Medicare billing requirements and regulations
