Job Summary: The Loss Prevention Manager is responsible for guiding and promoting safe work environment, investigating fraudulent activities, validating Loss Prevention and safety programs, supporting the rollout of initiatives, and maintaining a secure working environment. The Manager will be responsible for two regions (100 - 200 stores) along the I-10 corridor, covering Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama, and would ideally be located within this area. This role requires close collaboration with store personnel, field leaders, and various external partners to identify opportunities for improving shrinkage, safety, and overall loss prevention.
Essential Functions:
Implement, evaluate, and continuously improve safety processes, policies, and procedures.
Identify, anticipate, and survey safety and health concerns, hazards, operational and occupational conditions, investigate violations, and recommend preventive programs.
Provide and improve training on behavioral safety practices, safety processes, and techniques for field leaders and store employees.
Enforce safety practices, provide information and training, and maintain a safe and secure working environment.
Promote a safe environment by responding to critical incidents such as catastrophic events, violent weather, and civil disorders.
Detect, investigate, and resolve internal and external fraudulent activities to protect company financial interests, including misappropriation of assets.
Validate store execution of Loss Prevention programs and support the effective rollout of Loss Prevention initiatives.
Identify stores experiencing high losses, review and respond to criminal incident reports, and recommend corrective actions.
Act as a business partner to identify opportunities for improving shrinkage and safety.
Recommend prosecution or corrective actions, coordinate restitution, and collaborate with WC specialists on potentially fraudulent claims.
Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing Financial and Key Result Area targets in line with Company Plan guidelines.
Coordinate with law enforcement, safety agencies, and community organizations.
Inspect and secure buildings and equipment, manage security assignments, and assist with surveillance repairs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred. Background in audit, loss prevention, law enforcement, or criminal justice preferred.
5-10 years’ experience in the retail industry; proficient with investigations and integrity interviews, Wicklander or Reid preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management and ability to prioritize / multitask.
Experience with MS Office, Power Point, 3X Logic Trends, or similar Exception Based software.
Ability to travel as required by business, including overnight.
Must possess a good driving record.
