Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Human Resource Business Partner to join our organization. This role will handle the daily core human resource functions within the organization. You will be responsible for talent acquisition, day-to-day HR functions, supporting HR Strategies with leadership, employee relations, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, and other HR-related projects. This role is important to help with HR initiatives and building our culture as well as being a business partner with employees at all levels.
RequirementsRequirements & Essential Functions:Source, interview, and facilitate the hiring process for qualified candidates. Work closely with department managers to understand the skills and competencies needed for open positions.
  • Facilitate the integration of new hires:
  • Assist with onboarding new hires.
  • Orient new hires to company culture, policies, and benefits (when applicable).
  • Serve as a point of contact for new hires, addressing questions and concerns during the onboarding process.
  • Manage the departure of employees:
  • Conduct the exit process with offboarding and exit interviews.
  • Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback and understand reasons for leaving.
  • Oversee the completion of offboarding paperwork, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Assist with the collection of company property (e.g., laptop, badge)
  • Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
  • Track and document compliance with mandatory and optional training programs, including safety and anti-harassment training.
  • Manage regular and off-cycle payroll activities, including audits.
  • Develop and update the Employee Handbook, Policies, and Procedures.
  • Coordinate with external organizations for the company's volunteer program.
  • Administer employee health and benefits programs through vendor relationships.
  • Maintain internal phone list, organization chart, and employee roster.
  • Handle various HR programs, including compensation, benefits, leave, performance management & investigations, and talent development.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Review policies and practices to maintain compliance and recommend best practices.
  • Address employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring to complex matters as needed.
  • Stay updated on HR trends and suggest improvements to HR processes and initiatives.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with employees across all levels of the organization.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a human resources role.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment and selection processes.
  • Proficient in HR software with software implementation experience.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
  • Excellent presentation, public speaking, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR) is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Physical Demand & Work Environments
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds at a time.
  • This role is Onsite.
