What is this role? 

As a Safety Coordinator at Cirkul, you will be an essential part of maturing and maintaining the organization’s workplace safety program to ensure a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment. You’ll play a key role in maintaining regulatory compliance, assisting to minimize the risk of job-related accidents, and driving a positive safety culture across the organization.

What does an average day look like? 

Driving Results: Demonstrate professionalism in the delivery of workplace safety policies and procedures.

Taking Ownership: Enforce safety-related policies and procedures across all facilities and ensure compliance and record-keeping in accordance with industry standards.

Making Decisions: Utilize critical thinking to mitigate potential operational safety risks.

Cultivating Relationships: Collaborate with management and leadership with a focus on safety and company culture.

Instilling Trust: Demonstrate knowledge of OSHA, state, and federal workplace safety regulations.

Customer Focus: Utilizing risk-based decision making to maintain compliance while also supporting and facilitating operational efficiencies and customer needs.

What background should you have? 

• 4 years of experience in a safety-related field, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment. 
• Demonstrated experience and ability to develop and document procedures, processes, systems, reports, and checklists to support workplace safety programs.
• Possess or ability to obtain an OSHA 30-hour General Industry Certification.
• Flexibility to work non-traditional schedules including holidays, nights, and weekends, should it be necessary to properly manage a crisis or emergency event.
• Ability to stand on your feet for up to 12 hours a day and be able to walk, push, pull, squat, bend and reach during shifts.
• Proficient in use of computers and various computer programs (Microsoft office, word, excel).
