Cirrus is Hiring an IT Client Tech Engineer Near Duluth, MN

The IT Client Technology Engineer will continue to mature and maintain our endpoint management systems. Research and develop new solutions to align with our business strategy and provide a level three escalation point for our client tech team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

The Client Technology Engineer has the following primary responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 3 Escalation for all Client technologies including Mobility, Collaboration, and Desktop software and hardware.
  • Maintain, expand the use of, and develop new uses for our endpoint management systems. For example, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Intune, and JAMF.
  • Provide future state architecture, roadmap and investment plan to IT Leadership for Mobility, Collaboration, Employee Engagement, IT Process automation, and end user software and hardware solutions.
  • Develop end user training for client technologies including, but not limited to, creating instructions and guidelines, deploying FAQs and Quick tips for end user adoption, and partnering with Learning and Development to create or identify training resources.
  • Serve as the primary Information Center interface with the Application and Infrastructure departments and maintain relevant SOPs (standard operating procedures) for the Information Center.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts with IT service providers.
  • Knowledge of VDI solutions; publishing apps, user management and maintenance.
  • Architecting new client technologies that meet business requirements.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or relevant field of study, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 years of IT work experience with Client Technologies including hardware, mobility, collaboration, and productivity applications.
  • Relevant industry and/or vendor certifications will be considered a plus.
  • Experience with IT project management a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in selecting and architecting new client technologies that meet business requirements.
  • Strong Microsoft System Configuration Management (SCCM) experience.
  • Expert with computer hardware, software, mobile devices and peripherals
  • Expert troubleshooting connectivity, wireless, switching, cabling and other networking hardware required
  • Expert with Microsoft Windows and Office environments required
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing systems, IoT, PLC and Industrial Automation a plus

Demonstrated Proficiencies/Skills/Abilities:

  • Solid understanding of all IT domains and how Client Technologies interface with them.
  • Demonstrated excellence in providing support to Executive level of the organization.
  • Broad understanding of current and emerging information technology trends, with expertise in client technologies.
  • Strong working knowledge of IT governance and support policies and practices.
  • Excellent written oral and written communication skills, as well as an ability to communicate effectively with various levels of staff.
  • Ability to research and recommend new client technologies that are aligned with the business strategy.
