Who You’ll Work With
As a Supply Chain Quality Engineer (SCQE), you will collaborate closely with a diverse range of teams including Hardware and Software Engineering, Manufacturing, and Customer Support. You’ll also engage with key partners across the organization, from peers to executives, to drive quality improvements and ensure that our products meet the highest standards of excellence.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will be instrumental in managing New Product Introduction (NPI) Quality, Factory Quality, and Field Quality. You will craft and implement robust NPI Quality & Reliability Plans, ensuring our products adhere to stringent customer standards. As a forward-thinker, you will identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and eliminate potential failures before they occur. Your efforts will involve analyzing data to detect subtle trends, identifying root causes, and driving continuous improvement activities to elevate customer satisfaction. You will serve as the voice of the customer, influencing product design and supporting field management to resolve quality issues. Through collaboration with multi-functional teams, you will provide critical quality insights and recommendations, while leading the resolution of quality issues through fault isolation, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes.
Who You Are
  • A proactive self-starter who thrives with little oversight and brings high energy to your work.
  • A strong communicator, capable of dealing effectively with peers, managers, and executives across various business functions.
  • An expert in conflict resolution, problem-solving, decision-making, and influencing, with a track record of leading technical projects.
  • Passionate about continuous improvement, with the ability to drive and implement new processes, process improvements, and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Highly motivated, with the ability to work independently while managing multiple responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Including but not limited to an upcoming graduate of a technical degree or certification program from a Technical Boot Camp, Apprenticeship, Community College or 4-Year University.
  • Recently completed or actively enrolled in an educational program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in manufacturing or customer escalation support, with a solid understanding of process control, quality metrics, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, with the ability to identify trends and root causes to drive continuous improvement.
  • Basic knowledge of networking, quality metrics, scripting, software development lifecycle, and cloud computing.
  • Able to legally live and work in the country for which you’re applying, without visa support or sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in creating and implementing NPI Quality & Reliability Plans.
  • Familiarity with fault isolation, root cause analysis, and corrective action/preventative action (CAPA) processes.
  • Strong technical background with experience in leading cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement tools and methodologies, such as Six Sigma or Total Quality Management (TQM).
  • Experience with customer support and quality issue resolution in a manufacturing environment.
Why Cisco#WeAreCisco, where each person is unique, but we bring our talents to work as a team and make a difference powering an inclusive future for all.
We embrace digital, and help our customers implement change in their digital businesses. Some may think we’re “old” (40 years strong) and only about hardware, but we’re also a software company. And a security company. We even invented an intuitive network that adapts, predicts, learns and protects. No other company can do what we do – you can’t put us in a box!
But “Digital Transformation” is an empty buzz phrase without a culture that allows for innovation, creativity, and yes, even failure (if you learn from it.)
Day to day, we focus on the give and take. We give our best, give our egos a break, and give of ourselves (because giving back is built into our DNA.) We take accountability, bold steps, and take difference to heart. Because without diversity of thought and a dedication to equality for all, there is no moving forward.
So, you have colorful hair? Don’t care. Tattoos? Show off your ink. Like polka dots? That’s cool. Pop culture geek? Many of us are. Passion for technology and world changing? Be you, with us!
