My client is a global provider of intelligent transportation solutions and offers a range of products and services for public transit agencies. They are well established in the ANZ market.

This new role will report to the Chief Growth Officer and be a member of the leadership team. The Senior Director Business Development APAC, will partner with the General Manager of APAC and be an integral member of their team to drive growth.

This role will be responsible for creating and implementing the regional strategic growth plans to drive revenue growth, identifying, and capitalizing on new business opportunities, and expanding our market presence.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Partner with the regional leadership team to develop and implement comprehensive market/segment specific business development strategies to achieve bookings, revenue, and profit within the assigned region
• Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to expand market presence and increase market share
• Build and establish strong internal and external strategic partnerships & alliances that will improve my client's reputation in the market
• Oversee all business development activities aligned to the annual operating plan (AOP) and Strategic plan.
• Develop sales plans and lead the local BD team to execute to meet revenue targets and growth plans.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote the company and foster relationships.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders within the public sector to get a deep understanding of the account

Minimum Job Requirements:

• At least 15 years of management experience preferably in regional marketing/business development and strategic planning and ideally working into the public transportation sector.
• Proven track record in delivering revenue growth and closing business deals in the public infrastructure space.
• Strategic thinker with a results-orientated mindset and strong negotiation skills.
• Strong understanding of the market dynamics, trends and competitive landscape. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage priories.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build high performing teams.
• Able to travel frequently within the region and internationally as required.
