Position SummaryThe Integration and Solutions Specialist is responsible for providing proactive solutions for our customers through product application, design, programming, phone and field support and implementation. The position accomplishes its goals through a respectful, constructive, and energetic style, guided by the objectives and core values of the company. Visits customers to understand their needs and problems so to help design and propose a solution
Requests proposals from vendors by describing the scope of the needs of our customers
Programs PLCs, HMI Software, controllers, VFDs, instruments, etc. to meet the functional needs of our customers based on the
scope requirements
Field implementation of controls, telemetry and SCADA requirements
Project Management of controls projects that you have been assigned and are programming and/or implementing
Provides phone and field support for our customers, sales team and our field technicians
Remains trained and educated on the application of water/wastewater industry process equipment such as pumps, control valves, chemical feed, instrumentation, etc to apply to customer requirements
Stays educated on controls & instrumentation technologies and trends that will keep CITCO in a leadership role in the marketplace
Provides technical training to sales and support staff.
Research and development of new products and solutions that CITCO can implement to make the lives of our customers better. Read wiring diagrams to determine system function
Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment and in the field at customer locations. Customer locations will include water and wastewater plants, pumping stations, tank sites and other locations common to our industry, including both indoor and outdoor facilities with uneven terrain. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee will occasionally be required to go outdoors, balance, stoop, lift, climb and exert force up to 50 pounds. Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. C. I. Thornburg standard hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, with evening and weekend work as job duties demand. TravelSome travel is expected; occasional visits to customers, vendors, and industry events as required. Required Education And Experience
Bachelor's or associate’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology or related field OR
Education for PLC / HMI programming or 5 years field experience
Ability to read and develop wiring diagrams, ladder logic, and troubleshoot systems based on these diagrams
Preferred Education And Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field AND/OR 5 years in controls design, programming
Rockwell Allen Bradley Programming
Wonderware Programming
2 years of industry experience
