FLSA: Non-Exempt
Pay Range: $25 - $35 (Based on experience)
ALL FULL TIME POSITIONS: In addition to your pay, your salary also includes Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance. The Biweekly deduction from employee paycheck is $40.00 for Employee Only, $95.00 Employee plus Children, $120.00 Employee plus Spouse, and $140.00 Employee plus family.
On Call : Said employee shall be in an on-call status if the employee's superior has instructed the employee, in writing, to remain available to work during an off-duty period. An employee who is instructed to be in an on-call status is not required to remain at a fixed location but is required to leave word where he/she may be reached.
JOB SUMMARY:
•Assist the Sovereign Pipe Technologies Maintenance Manager with all maintenance and production items as needed within established guidelines.
•The Maintenance Technician must possess strong skills in the areas of troubleshooting and repairing production, plant equipment and knowledge in extruding pipe, supervising and help with all changeovers, establishment and coordination of maintenance scheduling in an industrial manufacturing environment.
•The position will help with the daily operations of the maintenance department in such a way to optimize safety, manpower, improve quality, reduce costs and meet deadlines.
•Ensures accurate schedules exist for the flow of materials, parts and assemblies between or within departments.

•Co-develop a culture that has a disciplined systematic approach to "Risk Management" that is reflected in the work practices involved in designing, building, operation and maintaining our facilities and infrastructure. SAFETY FIRST!
•General electrical and mechanical duties.
•Industrial machine repair i.e. Mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, and Electrical.
•Troubleshooting and diagnosing machine control systems.
•Repair to and maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment such as conveyors systems, hydraulic equipment, pneumatic equipment, compressors and extruders.
•Preventive maintenance on all production equipment, in a safe manner.
•Understanding and use of proper safety procedures LOTO for all equipment and good housekeeping.
•Report on potential equipment and building issues.
•Proficient troubleshooting skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and mechanical equipment with the capability to diagnose using visual and auditory senses, test components and technical publications.
•Ensure maintenance, downtime, and cost targets are met for all operating areas. Ensures that high quality product leaves our company with the highest level of efficiency.
•Establish controls and action plans to mitigate gaps in performance. Assists in Lean, KPI, and other efficiency goals and processes including root cause analyses.
•Aid the preparation of the overall area volume and expense budgets and provide planning information to management as required; providing leadership and direction to ensure that clear, concise cost targets and plans are in place.
•Ensure that operations are being conducted in compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
•Able to make decisions about maintenance issues as they arrive.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
•Must have a High School Diploma or GED, or experience in the related field.
•Basic knowledge of computer functions and applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
•The incumbent will perform physical efforts such as climbing, lifting to 60 pounds, and reaching.
•The incumbent will also be seated for short periods of time and do repetitive work at the computer in addition to considerable walking.
•Stands 80-100% of the time. Must squat, bend or stoop as much as 25% of the time on some days.
•Must be able to operate hand and pneumatic powered strapping tools. Must also be able to utilize chains, slings and hooks. Must be able to operate keyboard on microprocessor equipment.
•May be required to climb stairs or ladder and work on elevated platforms. Involves getting into and out of lift trucks and other mobile equipment.
•Must be continually alert to mobile machinery. Must be able to cope with the pressures of extrusion equipment that runs continually in a 24 hour period. Must be able to understand and retain safety subject training.
GUIDELINES:
•Incumbent uses guides and employer standard operating procedures, in addition to handbooks, policies, and precedents.
•Guidelines include Citizen Potawatomi Nation supply and equipment management regulations and directives, handbooks, precedents, and files of previous projects.
•The Incumbent implements adaptations in dealing with problems and unusual situations always with the best interest of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation in mind.
•Guidelines may include the System of Internal Controls Manuals.
COMPLEXITY:
•As the level of difficulty increases, the incumbent considers differences in the courses of action and refines methods or develops new techniques, concepts, theories, or programs to solve problems.
•Incumbent will frequently be faced with unusual circumstances and incomplete or conflicting data in addition to various staff and personnel who have special interests and individual priorities, which may conflict with existing policy and procedures.
•The level of difficulty will vary from mild to extremely intensive and complex circumstances on a routine basis.
•The incumbent is often required to depart from past approaches and to extend traditional techniques or develop new ones to meet major objectives and projects without compromising responsible methods and integrity principals.
SCOPE AND EFFECT:
•The purpose of the work is to conduct precise equipment operations in the production department and manage it with methods and contribute to the generation of a profit by providing quality services to our customers.
SUPERVISORY CONTROLS:
•Incumbent is under the immediate supervisor of the Maintenance Manager.
•Supervisor assigns work on information regarding the objectives, priorities, and deadlines.
•Incumbent handles all work independently according to instructions, established policies, and generally accepted principals.
•Supervisor assigns work in terms of objectives and basic priorities and is available for consultation in resolving complex or controversial issues.
•Incumbent independently plans and carries out the projects and selects the approaches and methods to be used in solving problems.
