Summary:

The Watch Designer works with the Bulova design team in a multi-faceted role, encompassing all elements of watch design, from trend and market research, to ideation, rendering, and development. The Designer has a strong interest in jewelry and accessories, with a keen eye for ladies’ product.

Responsibilities:

• Design new product concepts and updating existing styles for Bulova, and its related brands.
• Collaborate with the product development team to develop approved styles.
• Keep abreast of materials, trends and new developments in the watch, jewelry, fashion and accessories industries. Present these findings to the Merchandising team.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Undergraduate degree in Industrial Design, Fashion Design or another related field plus 2-3 years experience in the watch and/or jewelry industry within a corporate or design-driven consulting studio or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong visual communication skills
• Adobe Creative Suite proficiency (Illustrator/Photoshop)
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Familiarity with production methods and processes.
• Trend and market research skills
• Familiarity with SolidWorks and 3D printing, a plus
• Experience with delivery of data discovery and data analytics solutions to drive results.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with an agile, collaborative mindset.
• Ability to focus on details while identifying key issues and challenges.
• Ability to work cross functionally across stake holders and matrixed teams.
