Citizens Bank of Kansas, a fifth-generation family-owned community bank announces a career opportunity in our Derby Buckner, Kansas branch. This full-time Controller is responsible for the daily support of the Bank’s accounting activities. This position leads the accounting department in all financial reporting and transactions as required by the organization to fulfill regulatory record keeping and loss control.

We are seeking friendly, organized, self-motivated candidates with:

• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Proficiency in financial accounting principles and practices
• Ability to research and analyze financial data to make informed decisions and solve problems
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficient with the MS Office Suite of products – particular expertise in Excel required

Responsibilities include:

• Leading the accounting team in all related work and activities
• Supervising CBK financial strategies, plans, and policies
• Preparing, presenting, and interpreting major financial reports for executive management, directors, and regulatory agencies
• Variety of accounting and financial duties, and counsels management on financial control and profitability.
• Provide regular reports, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and fiscal reporting to executive management
• Oversee accounts including but not limited to taxes and insurance, accounts payable, and core service providers
• Work within the guidelines of banking regulations and all security and audit procedures
