Working closely with our Chief Strategic Marketing Officer (CSMO), the Marketing Manager will play an important role in the continued growth of our marketing and branding strategies. This position will be based at our Derby-Buckner branch.

We are seeking motivated, organized, and proven self-starters who are/have:

  • Inquisitive, agile, and team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to create written and graphic content that inspires and leads to results.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Capacity to grasp concepts and processes and to partner with and influence others.
  • Strong understanding of customer, product, and branch marketing needs and wants.
  • Proactive and can take initiative and drive results.
  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook.
  • Comprehensive and demonstrated understanding of banking and industry rules and regulations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field.
  • 3-5 years prior marketing experience, preferably at an agency or a financial institution.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of products, social media and other graphic design platforms, including Canva.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with CSMO to set strategic marketing direction and initiatives in support of the Bank’s overall objectives and branding strategy. 
  • Oversee implementation and integration of the branding strategy throughout the Bank and communities served. 
  • Provide input to and ensure marketing strategies are consistent with the CBK brand and strategy.
  • Create and maintain innovative, interesting, and timely content, creative copy writing, and graphic design that aligns with the Bank’s growth goals and communicates the Bank’s vision. 
  • Oversee the production, outsourcing, approval, and dissemination of all marketing pieces that include advertising copy, promotional items proofs, external mailings, press releases, social media content, and public relations communications. 
  • Create and maintain presentation materials and provide general support for bank, branch, and departmental goals. Requests feedback and recommendations to improve.
  • Respond to and support employee, customers, and public requests for marketing opportunities. 
  • Assist with the research, development, and introduction of new products. 
  • Provide administrative support to the CSMO including informational and budgetary tracking, compliance tracking, and internal/daily/ongoing activities related to marketing.
  • Coordinate with Compliance Officer to ensure all marketing pieces are in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Interact with outside vendors, industry professionals and suppliers as needed. Coordinate correspondence with media vendors on a consistent basis. 
  • Collaborate with the CSMO on the selection, purchasing and inventory control of promotional items for use Bank wide. Ensure that marketing communications, promotional campaigns, grassroots efforts, online events, and social media are supported with promotional items designed to engage our target audience and bring focus to our products and services.
  • Lead Marketing Specialist to ensure digital platforms are optimized for maximum efficiency and impact. 
  • Monitor and report market penetration, customer lists, target demographics, segments, and compliance as it relates to marketing and promotional items. 
  • Curate marketing and/or customers lists and partner with department leaders for targeted use.
  • Interact with, and direct, outside vendors and suppliers in the final production and execution of marketing campaigns, coordinating print ads and marketing materials – including layout design, direct mail, and other delivery methods. 
  • Lead and/or support special projects including Bank openings, Bank promotions, and new product research, development, and introductions of new products. Partner with other departments for internal marketing needs as required.
  • Represent the Bank with business, trade associations, within the community and customers; promotes the Bank’s image in a courteous and professional manner. 
  • Participate in the Bank’s strategic growth plan through recommending and referring services/products.
