JOB SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVE

The customer service representative is responsible for providing effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and programs as well as communicating effectively with team members within the customer service department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

This position performs the following duties, including but not limited to:

• Answers customer service phone calls or assists customers who come into the department; provides customer assistance with telephone banking.
• Setup or assist in setup of new deposit accounts (primarily CDs, but may include DDA, savings, IRAs).
• Performs various electronic banking functions such as application setup, maintenance and customer service issues in the areas of mobile banking, cash management, remote deposit and net teller.
• Assists ATM/Debit card personnel with setup, maintenance, research, logging accounts, may also reorder, activate or hot card ATM/Debit cards.
• Serves as first point of contact for processing information requests received via the Banks website.
• Assist in processing mail items daily for timely mail delivery to the post office.
• Assist as back-up in the absence of the courier or mail clerk.
• Performs any additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of departmental operations, policies and procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and ability to move easily between tasks as needed.
• Good understanding of operations in other departments.
• Basic knowledge of computer operations, as well as the ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, calculators, and mailing machine equipment.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 20 lbs) and able to learn about various types of equipment in the mail room area.
• Good sorting and organizational skills, including the ability to follow directions accurately and handle tasks requiring substantial repetition.
• Must have a valid drivers license and safe driving record.
