Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, Missouri is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) / Technical Consultant to work with our rural health and specialty clinics.

This position provides an opportunity to grow as a leader. You will work closely with staff and administration to ensure training and competencies are met. A typical day will include working with point-of-care team members to complete:

• Oversight of laboratories in rural health and specialty clinics
• Training and competencies on waived and moderately complex testing
• QC reviews
• Proficiency testing reviews
• Monthly on-site clinic visits
• Glucometer oversight for the CMH system
• Point-of-care training and competencies for hospital nursing staff
• Involvement in CLIA, CAP, and Joint Commission inspections as needed
• Assist in instrument troubleshooting as needed 
• Instrument validation as needed

The position is full-time with the option of working five 8-hour days or four 10-hour days. 

Requirements Include:

• Experience: 2 or more years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist is strongly preferred.
• Education: Graduation from an accredited university as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Technician.
• Certification: Current ASCP certification is required.
