General Description of Position
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. General hours are Monday - Friday from 8am-5pm and required to perform duties outside of the established hours and days as required for jury administration and for courtroom clerking. This position requires exceptional attendance and punctuality as court proceedings require appropriate clerk personnel in attendance. Work product includes court clerking all civil and criminal case types, jury administration, evidence intake and inventory, court prep, and case management. Deputy clerk will work closely with judicial staff and attorneys while adhering to a professional dress code standard. Perform a variety of advanced clerical duties within an assigned area of responsibility that relate to the processing and maintenance of records and works according to set departmental procedures. Accountable for assisting the Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller (Clerk) in achieving the objectives of the organization. This class reports directly to the manager, director or chief of the department and follows the Clerk's standard operating procedures and policies.
Salary: $15.03/hr.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm *required to work outside of this schedule as necessary for jury administration and court proceedings.
