What We OfferThe City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $21.47-$32.21. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

LocationIn this position you can expect to work on site at the Wellington Webb Building located at 201 W Colfax Ave., Denver, 80202, Monday- Friday 8am-5pm. This position has potential to move to a hybrid model in the future.
What You’ll DoThe Denver Office of the Clerk and Recorder is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated in-person Records Management Coordinator. This role will work in conjunction with and at the direction of the Chief Operating Officer and Records Operations Administrator/Manager to perform the following duties:
  • Liaises with various work groups to administer the records management program agency wide, while upholding consistent digitization, indexing and preservation standards.
  • Understands and adheres to agency specific retention schedule and applicable retention periods set for various records.
  • Develops an understanding and knowledge of the types of electronic and physical records within the agency’s custody and can analyze and classify records within various indexing groups.
  • Performs administrative and clerical tasks associated with the management and coordination of multiple agency records within records storage databases, designated onsite storage spaces and offsite facilities.
  • Triages designated inbox and tracks resolutions and internal responses to queries and requests, conducts record searches and coordinates with agency staff and the public on fulfillment of physical records requests.
  • Occasional usage and operation of microfiche equipment and large format scanners and or other similar mediums, to reproduce or rescan requested physical documents/images.
  • Contributes to the evaluation and improvement of records management systems through cataloguing, records organization formats, indexing and inventory tracking, and management of the agency wide retention schedule.
  • Actively supports with annual review of records for transfer, arranging and overseeing the dispatch of records to off-site storage, destruction, and archiving, in accordance and compliance with the retention schedule.
  • Navigates existing process to handle/submit records/box(es) retrieval requests from offsite storage via vendor specific RIM application.
  • Performs other associated duties as assigned.

  • Interpersonal skills as successful candidate will be interfacing with various staff and the public.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Software application experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate
  • Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of full performance office support/clerical work (type and level of an Administrative Support Assistant III)
  • Education/Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirement.
  • License/Certifications: Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application.
