Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Counter Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. The sales assistant serves as a key face-to-face contact for our customers. This person generates sales while providing quick, accurate, and courteous service to customers. Additionally, this person is involved in processing customer orders and inquiries. This person is also involved in functions including receiving material, maintaining showroom/warehouse organization, shipping materials, and preparing customer orders. Work with other branches to ensure customers from across the network receive a consistently high level of service.

Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and ascertain their needs
- Process customer orders on the counter or by phone
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions with accuracy
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor
- Assist in inventory management and restocking shelves
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction

Supervisor Responsibility

-This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing. The employee must be able to lift and move items up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in sales or customer service is preferred
- Team Player
- Ability to balance multiple tasks
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- High school diploma or equivalent
