City Home is seeking a professional quality assurance specialist for the Tigard Warehouse.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Inspect, audit, and report on furniture quality and condition to ensure conformance with the company’s quality standards. Create Inspection Reports for all customer merchandise. Assist in claims process for all damaged furniture. Participate in analysis, and continuous improvement projects regarding furniture inspection and repair. Train other staff in quality techniques and policies as applicable.

EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

At least 5 years in a quality inspection role, or equivalent experience – FURNITURE INDUSTRY PREFERRED

Good computer skills and experience with Microsoft Excel and Office software

SKILL LEVEL / KEY STRENGTHS

Employee must be effective working independently with little supervision, and with cross functional teams. Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent written and oral communication skills are required. The individual must be flexible, adaptable, and possess a high sense of integrity.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Perform all work in a safe manner. Promptly report safety issues and any unsafe behavior of others to management.

· Perform and document furniture inspections

· Develop inspection procedures as required

· Actively participate in employee training and development

· May perform internal audits of the quality system

· Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment

· Understand the urgency of our industry and be willing to work overtime

· Comply with company policies and procedures

· Other duties as directed by management

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
