About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Chief Medical Officer (ECMO) to lead and advance its academic health system. The successful candidate will be a dynamic physician-executive with a focus on hospital operations, physician hospital practice, and patient services and outcomes. The role involves working closely with hospital and healthcare college leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, timely, and effective inpatient care. The ECMO will also be responsible for strategic planning to improve and grow hospital and inpatient services, as well as supporting the optimization of care by providing expertise to improve inpatient flow, decrease care variation, and enhance quality and safety initiatives.Applicants must have an MD, DO, or MBBS degree from an accredited institution, board certification in the appropriate specialty, and a minimum of 10 years of clinical experience with at least five years in a leadership role within a research-intensive academic health system. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of healthcare delivery, including strategy, business planning, and financial management, and be able to demonstrate a commitment to quality, patient safety, and patient-centered care. The position requires the ability to generate and encourage innovative solutions, as well as the skills to lead and support operational teams in improving efficiency and standardized care protocols.
