Supervise, plan, and oversee the work of professional behavioral health responders, support staff and department activities to include community response as well as the formulation of policies in accordance with Federal and/or State regulations; coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, departments and outside agencies; provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Community Safety Department management team. This is a safety sensitive position subject to random drug/alcohol testing. Education and experience directly related to the minimum requirements below may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
Master's degree from an accredited university or college; and Four (4) years experience in social services or health related field; and To Include two (2) years supervisory experience in one or more elements of a comprehensive social service or health related field.
Possession of any of the following licenses or certifications preferred: Licensed Masters of Social Work (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP), Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS). ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire. Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within 6 months from date of hire. Successful completion of a security background check conducted by the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) of the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Must have the ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays as required.

Operations, services and activities of social service and behavioral health programs
Public safety dispatch operations, radio operation, and multidisciplinary emergency response
Principles and practices of program development, administration and policy development
Principles and practices of municipal budget preparation and administration
Principles of supervision, training and performance evaluation
