Under general supervision, this position will assist the Community Service Coordinator in the day-to-day tasks of processing requests for the Community Service program.

Essential job functions:

• Review community service applications and prepare worksheet for judge’s review.
• Process cases that have been approved or denied community service.

Other job functions:

• Answering the phone
• Assist the public and other City departments regarding information related to citations associated with community service.
• Assist administrative staff in day-to-day operation of judicial office.

Minimum qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Knowledge of general office practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of business English, spelling and punctuation.
• Skill in accurately entering data into a personal computer.
• Skill in quality customer service, especially managing irate customers.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to use good judgment and resolve problems without assistance
• Ability to operate a personal computer, phone, calculator, fax.
