Guest Services Supervisor

Pay Range: $49,405.17 - $66,396.41

The City of Attleboro seeks a Guest Services Supervisor for the Capron Park Zoo who, under the supervision of the Zoo Director, the Guest Services Supervisor is responsible for the safe operation of all Capron Park Zoo Guest Services including Admissions, Gift Shop and Concessions.

Duties include overseeing Concessions, Admissions and other revenue generating areas.Responsible for permitting and interacting with the Health Department.Trains and holds staff accountable to food handling standards.Orders all merchandise for gift shop and concessions, as well as researches to determine mark-ups.Evaluate, layout and maximize inventory in all retail areas. Receive inventory product to maintain Point of Sale (POS) system inventory.Maintains relationships with current vendors and seeks out new vendors as needed.Coordinates and plans event.Responsible for all cash within the guest services areas, including deposits and departmental financials.Holds staff accountable for established cash handling procedures in all areas.Performs periodic audits of safe and banks.Creates a loss prevention protocol.Collaborates with zoo director and City to develop, improve, and implement guest services policies, programs, and procedures.Hires, trains, schedules, communicates and supervises guest services staff. Coaches staff to ensure they are meeting assigned goals and consistently meeting great guest services standards. Performs other work as related.

Associate’s degree in business management and operations or a related field is preferred, but can be substituted or 2 years of experience in the field. At least two years’ experience in a multifaceted guest service management role. Ability to work a flexible, event-based schedule that includes some evenings and weekends. Must be Serve Safe certified or have the ability to obtain. Must have strong organizational skills. Profit and loss (P&L) accountability experience preferred. Must have the ability to establish a culture of great customer service.
