Job Summary The Baytown Nature Center is seeking a Gate Attendant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills and a passion for nature. Responsibilities include greeting visitors, collecting fees, and providing information about the center.
Maintains the entrance gate at the Baytown Nature Center, collects fees, answers questions. Opens and closes the park daily.
Duties - Provides visitor service including collecting entrance fees, answering questions, and enforcing rules and regulations.
- Opens and closes the gate at the posted hours. Drives through the park (30 minutes before closing to notify visitors that the park is closing).
- Collect fees for daily entrance, individual permits and annual vehicle permits. Records survey data on entry of each vehicle.
- Makes daily deposits of cash receipts.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Valid Texas driver's license with acceptable driving record.
Preferred:
- Previous customer service experience and ability to communicate effectively.
- Bilingual - Spanish.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to follow written and oral instructions, count money and answer questions from the public. Ability to get along appropriately with co-workers and the public.
