Are you passionate about driving technological innovation and public service? The Employee and Technology Services Department is looking for an IT program and project manager with experience in cyber security to be our next Technology Program Manager. Come make a difference with us! In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing critical technology programs, strategic initiatives, and projects that drive our organization forward.What will you do in this position?Coordinate City's cyber security efforts in cooperation with IT staff.Manage IT project portfolio and annual workplan.Ensure City of Bothell meets its technology goals by guiding the technology governance process.Lead and drive the implementation of a Technology and GIS strategic plan. Develop, implement, and train City employees on IT policies and procedures.A successful candidate in this position will: Collaborate and quickly raise issues or concerns with others on the team. Be transparent in explaining reasoning or decision making. Effectively adapt to change even at the last minute. Must be able to reassess plans and change priorities to meet new goals. Be able to identify, analyze, and solve complex problems at a high level using critical and creative thinking skills. Show commitment to continuous improvement and reflect on how the team can be better. Encourage simplicity over complex or time-consuming processes. Certification or training in Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma is a strong plus. Have experience planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling IT programs and projects.Be able to work with IT Managers and the Department Director on motivating staff, trusting them to make decisions, and providing support.
