What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pump Specialist-Water Department position at City of Caldwell?
The City of Caldwell Water Department is looking for you to join their team. The Pump Specialist will repair and maintain all irrigation/water pumps, and pumping stations; monitors all pressure irrigation systems; and performs related work as required. Individual must have the ability to supervise small work crews of two to three workers as assigned. The principal duties of this class are performed in an outdoor environment, which may involve adverse weather conditions and related hazards.
Qualifications, Requirements:
- Graduation from high school or possession of a GED; and working knowledge and experience in water related construction, maintenance and repair
- Possession of a current and valid driver’s license.
- Class A CDL issued by the State of Idaho with tanker endorsement within 6 months of hire.
- Class I Water Distribution License issued by the State of Idaho within 12 months of hire.
- Class II Water Distribution License issued by the State of Idaho within 3 years of hire.
- OSHA Training in Competent Person Requirements for Water System Construction prefer.
- Must complete .6 Continuing Education Units in Water annually.
- Subject to after hours on-call.
- Subject to a pre-employment background check, physical and drug testing
