City of Caro is Hiring a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Near Caro, MI
Position Summary:
City of Caro is currently seeking a full-time Water Treatment Operator for our Caro, MI location. The Water Treatment Operator will perform wastewater processing and treatment, as well as oversee the daily operations of the plant. This position requires a hard-working, team-oriented individual that can work independently.
Essential Functions:
Perform wastewater processing and treatment, as well as ensure all equipment is in operation and working order.
Operates and maintains a variety of wastewater processing equipment.
Assists in the maintenance of plant buildings and equipment.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental standards.
Performs related work as required.
Position Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Must be able to work overtime as required by the department.
Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
One year of experience as operator in wastewater treatment plant preferred.
A State of Michigan wastewater treatment plant operator's certificate is also preferred.
A valid State of Michigan CDL (B) Driver's License is required or the ability to obtain one within the first 6 months of employment at your own expense.
