SEASONAL - Cemetery Maintenance Worker (PT Maintenance Support)
In this position, you will perform all aspects of cemetery grounds maintenance.
This is a seasonal (at-will) position with benefits limited to those required by applicable state and federal laws, which include Worker's Compensation, Medicare, Unemployment Insurance, and PERA (Public Employees' Retirement Association). In this position, you will perform all aspects of cemetery grounds maintenance.
The approximate dates of employment are from June through December. Normal work hours will be between 7:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Total hours worked will not exceed 1,500 annually.
Essential Job Functions- the basic job duties an employee must be able to perform:
- Assist with burial services
- Provide landscape maintenance such as mowing, trimming, and minor pruning
- Remove trash from cemetery grounds
- Knowledge of cemetery maintenance
- Knowledge of mowers, utility vehicles, and small tractors
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Have six months of grounds maintenance experience
Environmental Conditions: Outdoors with possible exposure to extreme weather conditions.
