In this dynamic role, you'll strategically identify and foster private sector real estate investments, partnering with public and private entities to achieve aspiring development goals. You'll also spearhead creative funding solutions like Tax Increment Financing (TIF) to bring these projects to life. Overseeing CCURA Board directives, you'll manage administrative, budgetary, and operational priorities, ensuring the successful revitalization of our vibrant community. Hiring salary is dependent upon experience.The hiring range for this position is $105,877.78 - $142,935/annual.

Knowledge of:

• the advanced principles and practices of urban design, construction, planning, real estate development, and finance 
• principles and legislative constraints affecting municipal planning and development, building, and housing regulation
• professional, legal, and public administration terminology
• economics, law, municipal finance, and sociology as they apply to planning
• the professional literature and recent developments in the field of urban planning, economic and community development
• the documentation and records required and retained by the department
• role of Commerce City as a municipality

Ability to:

• create and implement a strategic plan 

• use independent judgment and discretion to resolve complex problems, develop and maintain standards, and manage department functions
• acquire and communicate information on changes in codes, ordinances, and regulations
• communicate to a diverse variety of individuals including citizens, planning and construction professionals, and public officials

Skilled in:

• interpersonal, analytical, negotiation, project management, and presentation skills are required.
