This position is responsible for performing a variety of standard clerical and administrative tasks in support of an assigned department. Responsibilities may include preparing documents; performing standard office tasks; and providing customer service. May handle confidential information.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Prepares and provides documents related to an assigned area, including but not limited to: preparing financial transactions; preparing work orders; generating reports; and/or preparing related documents.
- Performs standard office tasks, including but not limited to: answering phones; filing; reviewing information for accuracy; updating documents; handling mail; performing data entry; compiling information and agendas; and/or maintaining department materials.
- Reviews and verifies program related information; tracks and identifies information based on defined procedures.
- Provides customer service, including: responding to standard customer issues; providing required documents to customers; responding to standard information inquiries; and/or directing customer questions to appropriate staff.
- Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance, including attendance at required meetings.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Positions in this class typically require: reaching, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Some positions may require occasional exertion of up to 30 pounds of force.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING/LICENSING REQUIREMENTS EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING : High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.); related experience preferred; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
