Safety/Security Sensitive Designation:This is a safety/security sensitive position for purposes of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment.
  1. Provide good customer service to both internal and external customers, maintain positive and effective working relationships with other City employees (especially members, of their own team), and have regular and reliable attendance that is non-disruptive.
  2. Provide customer service to airport tenants.
  3. Successfully communicate with vendors regarding airport maintenance.
  4. Accurately complete work orders for various maintenance needs.
  5. Perform maintenance of lights on and off field.
  6. Perform electrical, plumbing, janitorial, metal fabrication, HVAC, landscaping and building duties as assigned.
  7. Operate heavy equipment and serve as technician for both automotive and heavy equipment.
  8. Perform daily runway check on lights.
  9. Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
  1. Secondary duties as assigned.
 
  1. High school diploma or GED and 12 months of related experience and/or training.
  2. Must possess a valid Driver’s license.
  3. Must successfully pass a criminal background check, including but not limited to convictions, guilty pleas, or no contest pleas to violent offenses, theft offenses, and any offense under A.C.A. § 21-15-103. 
  4. Effectively communicate with others orally and in writing.
  5. Must be proficient in the operation of various equipment, such as tractors, mowing equipment, backhoe, skid loader, aerial lift, sweeper truck, forklift, dump truck, snow plow, four-wheeler, etc.
  6. Ability to calculate figures, proportions, percentages, and area. 
  7. While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear as necessary for safety reasons or to operate certain equipment, stand, walk, and sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee frequently is required to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  8. While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. The employee frequently experiences high precarious positions. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud due to regular exposure to jet engine noise.
